TALBOT RUNHOF, MunichMad about the boy collection fall / winter 2011 / 2012 “i’m feeling quite insane and young again and all because i’m mad about the boy” wrote noël coward in his song of the same name; a tale of the unrequited love for a film star teetering between obsession and youthful innocence; the inspiration of our fall/winter 2011/12 collection. a juxtaposition of masculine and feminine, black and white, fluid and static, draped and tailored, desired and rejected... this season, we have the privilege to use a number of fabrics that have over decades became our own little obsession. a striped silk faille in shades of chocolate, black and taupe. a striped double satin duchesse in black and ivory. a double satin single stripe in black and ivory. fabrics we have always dreamed of using from taroni, one of our favorite fabric manufacturers. the fabric lineup is rounded out with a bronze brocade cloqué, black wool crêpe, striped cotton shirting, black satin and stretchy georgette, pure cashmere, stretch leather and a guipure sequin embroidered mousseline, polar fox, ermine lapin. ivory and white… black, chocolate, taupe, smoke… and a splash of rosewood, poppy and bordeaux. striped cotton stretch shirt with integral necktie combined with pleated trousers. draped cashmere jersey dress under a striped faille peacoat in shades of black, chocolate and taupe. cloqué top with voluminous back shown with a black crêpe satin bias skirt. sequin stripe embroidered sweater combined with slouchy draped satin trousers. double layer silk mousseline gown under a rosewood, poppy and bordeaux striped faille parka. hope you enjoy the show! johnny talbot & adrian runhof, paris, march 9, 2011
